The City of Poplar Bluff is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of an existing 20-ton horizontal package unit. The scope of work includes removal and disposal of the existing system, installation of a new system, and other related tasks. Project Description: Project Location: Wheatley School Project Type: Package Unit Replacement Scope of Work: Removal and Disposal: Remove and properly dispose of the existing HVAC system. Concrete Additions: Pour concrete additions if required for the new system installation. New System Specifications: Install a 20-ton horizontal package unit. System specifications: 208/230 volt, 3 phase. 35kw or more electric heat strips. Necessary duct transitions to existing ductwork. Additional Components: Furnish a 0-25% manual fresh air damper. Include hail guards for condenser coils. Provide filter rack and 2" MERV 8 filter. Install electrical disconnect at the unit. Make provisions for removing and replacing fence and parking barriers as necessary. Warranty: Unit to include a five-year compressor warranty and a one-year parts and labor warranty. Documentation: Provide startup documentation. Equipment must be a current production model. Optional Upgrades: Contractors may also include quotes for: High-efficiency upgrade. Heat pump upgrade.
