This specification pertains to removal of the existing asphalt shingle roof covering to the structural deck and installation of a new asphalt shingle roof cover. This includes all items relevant to the successful completion ofthis type of work without reserve including but not limited to all labor, materials, equipment, debris/trash removal, transportation, services, permits and taxes. All work outlined shall be in accordance with local codes and ordinances. The Contractor is to remove the existing roof covering down to the deck, properly dispose of removed material, replace any damaged decking with material to match existing, and install new materials according to the attached specifications. Summary of the work is as follows. a. Remove existing roofing including all underlayment and edge metal. Detach and reset gutters as required. b. Adhere new pressure sensitive ice-barrier at eaves over conditioned spaces. c. Apply specified underlayment to roof deck. d. Install new specified fiberglass reinforced, laminate, asphalt shingles. e. Provide manufacturer warranty as specified herein. Re-Roofing Several Structures
