Site work for a water / sewer project in Denton, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project 1 Civil Set - Doe Branch Trib 10. Drainage Improvements. The work required to be completed in this contract will include: Erosion Control, SWPPP preparation, grading, pavement, signage, special pavement treatments, revegetation, erosion control up to builder phase, and other improvements indicated on the approved construction plans for the Green Meadows FIVE INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS. The project consists of five sets of approved infrastructure plans which involve many types of contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and special improvement elements such as pond screens, handrail, guardrail, signs, stripping, street signs, fabrics, special channel lining materials, and other items. The numerous subcontractors and or Prime contractor division of work forces will require detailed management to complete the work in a timely manner. Utility installation crews will need to be moved in at various times to complete drainage pipe improvements supporting and completing the work to allow backfilling culverts, building embankments, and controlling storm water runoff from adjacent fields and along the main streams. Stock piling of earth material for culvert and temporary berms/swales will need to be provided for completion of the culvert structures. Question Deadline: 08/15/2024 at 1:30 PM CT, All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to engineer through online. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such question will be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded as being a plan holder. Questions received less than 72 hours prior to the day of opening of bids may not be answered. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities. Selection of the "Successful Bidder" will be made by the owner on the basis most advantageous to the owner , as determined by the owner (refer to Section I-16 of Instructions to Bidders). However, the owner reserves the right, after evaluation of all bids received, to make no recommendation to the Board of Directors regarding the award of any bid in the event nonresponsive, non-conforming, or otherwise unacceptable bids are received, or if budgetary constraints or other unanticipated factors exist. All bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date bids are open and no bid may be withdrawn until after the expiration date. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bid Bond upon a national or state bank with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the OWNER within ten (10) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to Smiley Road Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. A 1295 Form will be required for this project.
