Project 2 Civil Set 24-000075 North Major Paving, Drainage, S.S. & Water Infrastructure, Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bid Bond upon a national or state bank with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the OWNER within ten (10) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to Smiley Road Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities. Selection of the "Successful Bidder" will be made by the OWNER on the basis most advantageous to the OWNER, as determined by the OWNER (refer to Section I-16 of Instructions to Bidders). However, the OWNER reserves the right, after evaluation of all bids received, to make no recommendation to the Board of Directors regarding the award of any bid in the event nonresponsive, non-conforming, or otherwise unacceptable bids are received, or if budgetary constraints or other unanticipated factors exist. All bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date bids are open and no bid may be withdrawn until after the expiration date.
