Brookhaven Care Center (BKN) is a medium-sized (104 bed, 5,344m²) extended care facility located in West Kelowna, BC, with on-site kitchen and laundry facilities. Commissioned in 1995, most of the facility retains its original HVAC and controls infrastructure, which are now at the end of their service life and require replacement. The project will deliver efficiency upgrades to the Boiler room by replacing two main Boilers with condensing Boilers. Additionally, the building automation systems will be upgraded to replace existing end-of-life infrastructure providing energy efficiencies. Existing kitchen make-up air unit will also be replaced. The current equipment is nearly 30 years old, with limited availability of spare parts and support.
