A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security shall be a certified check or bid bond. All checks and bid bonds shall be made payable to Davis & Associates, Inc. Construction shall be in full accord with the Drawings & Specifications. Such costs for these Bonds will be added to the Contractors contract amount. List amounts on the Bid Form. Where trade names, brand names, or manufacturers' names are used in this Project Manual, it is for the purpose of establishing kind and quality and not for the purpose of limiting competition. Bidders may offer items or materials equal in quality and having the same durability and efficiency if the Bidder first receives written approval from the Architect seven (7) days prior to the date/time of the Bid opening and complying with requirements indicated in Division 00 Section, Instructions to Bidders.
