The Tea Area School District is accepting sealed bids for the construction of a combination operations shop and bus barn to be located at 500 W. Brian Street in Tea on the north end of the high school complex. Project scope: Add a post frame building for an operations shop and additional bus parking across the street from the existing bus parking buildings with provisions for a future bus parking extension Project to be completed by July 31, 2025 All bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope upon which shall be plainly marked "Operations Shop/Bus Barn" and the name of the company bidding. If a bid is to be mailed, the bid envelope shall be sealed in a regular mailing envelope and must be received by the bid deadline to be valid. Fax and e-mail bids will not be accepted. No bidder may withdraw a bid for 30 days following the bid opening without a written request explaining the cause of the withdrawal and without written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause. All bids should include excise tax to be paid by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, bidder's bond, or certified check payable to "TEA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT" for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. A bidder's bond shall include a certified copy of the power of attorney. The Board of Education will review the bids received and act upon them at the regular or special Board meeting to be held no later than thirty (30) days following the bid opening. The Board of Education of the Tea Area School District 41-5 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to accept proposals it deems to be in its best interest, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding procedures.
