Heritage Parkway Asphalt-Concrete Resurfacing This project consists of asphalt milling and concrete paving for a one-half mile segment of Heritage Parkway in the City of Tea in addition to applicable traffic control. Each Bid must be accompanied by a guaranty in the amount of 10% of the total amount bid or in lieu thereof a certified check, cashier's check, or bank draft in the amount of 5 percent of the amount bid. Satisfactory forms of proposal guaranties are certified checks, cashier's check, or bank draft issued upon a national or state bank, and bid bonds issued in accordance with South Dakota Law and made payable to the City of Tea. The Bid Proposal Guarantee will be retained by the OWNER as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into an Agreement within twenty (20) days after Notice of Award or fails at time of executing the contract to furnish a Contract Performance Bond guaranteeing the faithful performance of the work. The Bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond to the OWNER in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award. The Contract Performance Bond will remain in effect for not less than one year after the date of the City of Tea's letter of Final Acceptance. A Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder prior to beginning work Bids may not be withdrawn after the time fixed for opening them. The City of Tea reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities, and make award(s) as deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Tea, SD.
