Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Tea, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.

Install new replacement boilers and hot water heaters in the south mechanical room at the high school and a new replacement boiler at Legacy Elementary. Demo of existing equipment will be part of the project. All bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope upon which shall be plainly marked “Boiler Project Bid” and the name of the company bidding. If a bid is to be mailed, the bid envelope shall be sealed in a regular mailing envelope and must be received by the bid deadline to be valid. Fax and e-mail bids will not be accepted. No bidder may withdraw a bid for 30 days following the bid opening without a written request explaining the cause of the withdrawal and without written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause. All bids should include excise tax if any to be paid by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, bidder's bond, or certified check payable to “TEA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT” for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. A bidder's bond shall include a certified copy of the power of attorney. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to accept proposals it deems to be in its best interest, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding procedures. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to materials, products, and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota.
