MEB 1ST Floor Renovations Scope of Work GENERAL NOTES: 1. It is the intent to provide a 100% turnkey project ready for occupancy upon completion. Items not mentioned in the specifications, nor shown on the drawings but clearly necessary for occupancy and a complete and usable space, must be provided in good working order and 100% operational. 2. Provide all labor, material, equipment and expertise necessary to build-out the designated areas in accordance with the attached drawings and specifications herein. 3. Protect all remaining flooring, ceiling, ceiling devices, windows and walls in surrounding areas. 4. The Contractor shall supervise and direct the Work, using the Contractor's best skill and attention. 5. Work to be coordinated with client's office requirements, patient clinic hours and student class schedules. This information will be provided but is subject to change. The LSUHSC Construction Coordinator will keep the contractor informed as soon as possible if/when any changes arise. 6. All demolition work, loud activities or activities that create odors shall be scheduled after hours or weekends. No exceptions. 7. Furnish all required shop drawings, fabrication, materials, & work necessary to complete wall repairs. 8. Successful bidder shall verify all measurements and room conditions. 9. MC cabling is not acceptable for use in wall partitions or above ceilings but may be used in whips max 6'- 0". 10. Remove all furniture in affected areas prior to construction. 11. Any required sprinkler work shall be performed and coordinated by a licensed sprinkler contractor and shall match existing system. Flex heads are not acceptable. Protect existing heads to remain, typ. 12. Prepare surfaces to receive scheduled construction. 13. Prepare and submit fire sprinkler and fire alarm plans, along with the appropriate fees, to the Louisiana State Fire Marshal Office for review as necessary. 14. Refer to plans & specifications for Provide new walls, ceilings, finishes, lighting and flooring as per plans.
