"2024 Bituminous Paving" on various streets in the Borough of Tower City, Schuylkill County as follows: 495 SY of Full Width Milling 5 1/2 " to 4" Depth 241 SY of 4" Depth Milling for Base Repair 177 Ton of 4" Depth 25.0mm Base Course 136 Tons of 9.5mm Leveling Course 313 Tons of 9.5mm Wearing Course. All materials must meet PEN- NDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards, bidders do not need to be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Borough. Bidders should review the proposed work with the Municipality. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Tower City Borough. The successful bidders for the "2024 Bituminous Paving" will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contracts. PA Prevailing Wages Apply to Liquid Fuels funded Road Construction Contracts where the estimated cost of the work is more than One Hundred ($100,000.00) Thousand Dollars. It is the intent of the Municipality's Award of this Contract to not exceed this $100,000.00 threshold. If after the award of this contract the Contractor's final construction cost exceeds $100,000.00 the Municipality will apply for PA Prevailing Wage Rates and the Contractor will be responsible for paying those wage rates. The Borough Council of Tower City reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Borough.
