Notice ID- F1Z3124078A001, 1139497 Troopwalk Repair - Goodfellow AFB The 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, TX is issuing a solicitation for Troopwalk Repair. The period of performance will be 60 days after receiving Notice to Proceed. All responsible vendors may submit a proposal to the 17th Contracting Squadron. Oral proposals WILL NOT be accepted. A Firm Fixed-Price award will be made to the responsible offerer whose proposal conforms to the requirements of the solicitation and is the most advantageous to the Government. Project Details: Demolition of: One full troopwalk slab in critical condition, A portion of another troopwalk slab in similar condition, Approximately 250LF of concrete and brick pavers. Installation of: New troopwalk slab to replace demolished sections, New concrete and brick pavers. Problems: Several problems include failing troopwalk slabs and brick pavers leading to tripping hazards, poor drainage conditions, and silt collection along the troopwalk. Risk factors include the potential of vehicles to drive on troopwalks, including EM vehicles. These problems are required to be fixed by this construction project. Projected Quantities and Requirements: Current projected quantities are approx. 30CY of new concrete and approx. 250LF of new brick pavers. The new concrete will be of higher required strength, and the new troopwalk installation will be thicker, and have steel reinforcement to replace damaged sections with better, more sustainable troopwalk sections to require less maintenance over its lifetime. Applicable Industry Standards: TxDOT, ASTM International, USACE Safety and Health Rqmts, OSHA Standards Environmental Concerns: Dust control, debris control, recycling demo'd material, concrete washout.
