The City of Sparta Sewer Utility is requesting sealed bid proposals for the replacement of the existing Aeration Blowers #5 and #6 at the City's Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Any additional information requests from the Bidder may be directed to George Thompson at the Green Bay office of Cedar Corporation,. The bid includes the following scope of supply: .Replace two rotary PD blowers (Blower No. 5 and Blower No. 6, refer to the attached drawings from the 1993 installation) with either two 100 HP high efficiency motor and single stage direct drive centrifugal blowers with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and control or two hybrid type blowers with the same/similar air output. The proposed blowers are to operate at 90% relative humidity, 100 degrees F and deliver a design flow rate of up to 1,825 SCFM each at 8 psig. .Include the complete range of turndown capability using provided VFDs. Bidder to provide detailed description of the proposed blower package including but not limited to all components including, instruments included, control panel description, piping and valve components, lubrication type, blower base size and material, blower flow rate vs. KW power curves, turndown capability with provided VFD, painting, startup services, shop drawing submittals, warranty information and freight to the site. Note the existing electrical is 480 VAC/3 phase. BIDDER to identify what electrical/control services are required for complete operation of the proposed blower package. BIDDER also to provide schedule for shop drawings, submittals and blower delivery to the site following acceptance of bid. .Reference list for proposed blower system including contact names and phone numbers and number of years of operation. .Specific mechanical installation and/or removal services or electrical/control services by the BIDDER need to be identified separately (if applicable) with a separate cost for each of the listed services. The OWNER will use this information to help determine comparable costs for BIDDERs for this work scope. A detailed RFP is also available upon request. The bid proposals shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the City of Sparta equal to 5% of the proposal or a bid bond of a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin in an amount equal to 5% of the proposal. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the date of opening. The City of Sparta reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposals and to waive any information therein.
