As of October 31, 2025, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for bidding and construction has not yet been established. The renovation will be approximately 13,000 square feet, located at 304 S. Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. The scope includes, but is not limited to, professional architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire design services resulting in construction documents. Submissions should include a list of all licensed agencies and firms that will be a part of the project. The goal of this project is to renovate the main floor of the existing library. Revisions will include adjustments to the floorplan, including existing walls, columns, ceilings, lighting, study rooms, restrooms, and reception area. The Town of Mooresville Facilities Maintenance and Construction Project Management is now soliciting statements of qualifications for the design and renovations to an existing public library. The building renovations will be on the library's main level, approximately 13,000 square feet. The Mooresville Main Library is at 304 S. Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. The Town further reserves the right to waive any irregularity or defect in any of the submissions received so long as said irregularity or defect does not render the submission nonresponsive or in violation of Chapter 143 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
