Bid date notes: The BID shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name, address and telephone number of the CONTRACTOR The envelope shall clearly state: "BID Submittal for CITY HALL INTERNAL WALL AND CEILING REPAIR SERVICES." The BID shall be sent in electronic format to Cari Dillman, Community Services Manager. Electronic copies shall be addressed to Cari Dillman, cdillman@ci.claremont.ca.us, and Shelley Desautels, sdesautels@ci.claremont.ca.us. The subject line shall clearly state "BID Submittal for CITY HALL INTERNAL WALL AND CEILING REPAIR SERVICES." The City of Claremont would welcome your participation in the bid process for the above stated project in the City of Claremont, County of Los Angeles (City) and will receive up to, but no later than the time set forth above, sealed bids for the award of a contract for work described in the Scope of Work. Scope of Work - Claremont City Hall has experienced water damage to some interior plaster walls and ceilings. The project will consist of: Removal of existing damaged wall or ceiling finishes, base, and casing Replacement with 5/8" drywall, texture to match surrounding Replacement of base, case and trim as required Paint to match existing Further details included in Exhibit A. Working Hours - The City will choose between Normal and Weekend Working Hours depending on cost. Normal Working Hours: - Normal working hours under this agreement shall be considered Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekend Working Hours - Weekend working hours under this agreement shall be considered Friday through Sundayfrom 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Insurance - The successful Bidder must provide the City with evidence of the following insurance coverage Prevailing Wage - Contractor is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Section 1720, et seq., and 1770, et seq., as well as California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 16000, et seq. ("Prevailing Wage Laws"), which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on "public works" and "maintenance" projects. If the Services are being performed as part of an applicable "public works" or "maintenance" project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if the total compensation is $1,000 or more, Contractor agrees to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws. License Requirements - The successful bidder must obtain a City of Claremont Business License and show proof that they possess all licenses required by the State of California Public Contract Code. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to self-perform 100% of the work. Term - Work shall begin within 10-days following the Notice to Proceed and be completed within in 90- days.
