Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Trenton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of August 15, 2024 project was awarded to Barrett Paving Materials Inc., awarded amount is $457,380.35. Scope of work to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of resurfacing asphalt streets within the City. Base bid work includes reconstructing ADA accessible sidewalk ramps, replacing some curb and sidewalk, milling existing pavement, overlaying the streets with asphalt and other associated roadway-related items on North Miami Street. A bid alternate for overlaying a portion of Riverside Drive will also be included. The base bid work includes approximately 20,000 square yards of asphalt resurfacing. The Engineer's opinion of construction cost is $498,200. The above improvement shall be in accordance with the contract documents. The city of Trenton reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the contract documents. The City of Trenton reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. The city of Trenton also reserves the right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. Each bidder must be an ODOT Pre-Qualified Contractor for the following Construction Work Types: 9. Aggregate Bases, 10. Flexible Paving, 16. Flexible Replacement, and 38. Miscellaneous Concrete. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty (10% of the Bid Amount) and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each bid proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Trenton as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
