Rustic Oaks CDD Knights Trail Road Force Main The Rustic Oaks Community Development District (the "District") requests proposals for construction of the Knights Trail Road 16-Inch Force Main All questions relative to the project must be directed in writing via email to Kelly Smith (Kelly.Smith@kimley-horn.com) and Jordan Schrader (MaryRobin.Thiele@clearviewland.com). The deadline for submitting questions relative to the project is Friday July 26, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. Rankings for each of the proposals will be made on the basis of qualifications according to the Evaluation Criteria contained within the RFP Package. Any proposal received from firms failing to meet the following minimum qualifications/requirements will not be considered or evaluated: (1) Proposer must be licensed in the state of Florida and (2) Proposer must have worked on similar projects within the last 2 years. Additional requirements are set forth in the RFP Package. Utilizing the Evaluation Criteria, the District will award the work to the Proposer, who in District's discretion (subject to final approval of the City of Venice, Florida), submits the most advantageous proposal to the District. The successful proposer must execute a contract with the District and file the requisite Performance and Payment Bonds and insurance within ten (10) calendar days after the receipt of the Notice of Award. The Board of Supervisors of the District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, make modifications to the work, and waive any minor informalities and irregularities in proposals as it deems appropriate. Any incomplete proposal, per requirements of the RFP Package, may be disqualified. The selected Proposer will be responsible for performing all work, including all labor, material, equipment, supplies, tools, supervision, services, transportation, and all other necessary incidental items required for the complete performance of the Scope of Work. a. The fact that any part of the work necessary to meet the requirements of District, or any governmental or other appropriate authorities, is not specifically mentioned in the Proposed Agreement, the Scope of Work, or the Proposer's proposal, will not excuse the selected Proposer from performance thereof, if said part of the work to be performed is usual and normal in the crafts or trades required to perform the work or the crafts or trades usually employed to perform work similar to the work. The work is located in Venice, Florida within the Knights Trail Road right-of-way. The project limits extend from approximately 200 feet south of the Laurel Road East Access Road intersection to approximately 400 feet south of the Villoresi Boulevard Intersection. The work is to be performed within the Sarasota County right of way. B. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, executing the Work set forth in the Contract Documents and generally described as follows: 1. Construction of approximately 5,600 LF of 16" diameter C900 DR-18 Certa-Lok RJIB PVC force main via HDD, 300 LF of 16" diameter C900 PVC DR-18 CertaLok RJIB PVC force main via open cut, and appurtenances in Venice, Florida along Knights Trail Road, between Laurel Road East Access Road and Villoresi Road. The force main will connect to a city owned force main to the south and to the proposed city owned Knights Trail Lift Station discharge piping to the north.
