Reference Number 0000356697 Engineer's Estimate: The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $1,850,000. This project consists of maintenance work on portions of City streets located primarily north of Santa Paula Street, and from Palm Avenue east to 10th/Mill Street in addition to the repair of damaged curb and gutter, the replacement of uplifted or badly damaged sidewalk panels, as well as curb ramp upgrades to address mobility issues along these streets and other incidental and appurtenant work necesssary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement. General Requirements - Contractors License Required - License Required - Material Safety Data Sheets Required - Prevailing Wage Required - Safety Standards Plan Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % -- The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, and a Payment (Material and Labor) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, on the forms provided and, in the manner, described in the Bid Documents. The Bid Bond will be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract and provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) calendar days after the date of receipt of Notice of Award of the Contract pursuant to the terms of said Bid Bond. Liquidated Damages Liquidated damages for avoidable delays shall be $1.000.00 per consecutive day in excess of the Contract Time for the completion of the Work. See General Provisions Section 6-9.1 for additional information. The Contractor must possess Class A- General Engineering Contractor license in good standing, issued by the Contractors State License Board, at the time the contract is awarded. Bidders are encouraged to visit the project site (which is within the public right-of-way) to perform their own investigations. Question Deadline 07/16/2024 at 3:00 PM PT Questions may be sent via electronic mail to the attention of the Deputy City Engineer, Tatiana B. Arnaout, PE at Engineer@spcity.org. Questions submitted after this time shall not be responded to. Contract time for completion of the Work shown in the Bidding Documents is 60 Working Days. Once the work is started, it must be continuously performed until completion.
