The Town of Newtown (hereinafter known as "Town") is seeking proposals from ACM contractors for the ACM Removal and Abatement at the CH Booth Library located at 25 Main Street, Newtown, CT 06470. Work is to be performed on multiple levels of the building and is tentatively scheduled to begin in the fall/winter 2024. The building will remain open to the public during this project. A hazardous building materials inspection has taken place and a report has been issued by Fuss & O'Neill as an addendum and the report should be referenced for abatement work required for operation which also includes a prepared project specification for the abatement. All remediation and abatement work must be completed by a CT licensed abatement and air monitoring contractor to include disposal and supply disposal manifest.
