The Project Scope is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Removal of existing concrete basketball court and replacement with new basketball court. Removal of existing basketball goals and replacement with new basketball goals. Installation of new concrete walks to provide connection to Community Center to the basketball court. Project Locations: 1001 Cooper Road, Raleigh, NC 27610 Following review of pre-bid meeting agenda items at the Pre-Bid Meeting, participants will be allowed to ask questions related to the project scope of work. Other questions will be received ONLY in written form. The deadline to submit written questions to the Bid Agent is 4:00pm local prevailing time on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024. Questions will be accepted via email only. Email pre-bid questions to: Terry Naranjo, terry.naranjo@raleighnc.gov Each bid must be made on the blank forms provided in the PROJECT MANUAL and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and addressed to City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, Attn: Terry Naranjo, 222 W Hargett Street, Suite 608, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601. The name, address, and the North Carolina Contractor's License Number of the Bidder must be plainly written on the outside the envelope, and the envelope shall be marked with "Bid for WORTHDALE PARK BASKETBALL COURTand PROJECT NO. 274-PR-WORTHBBL-2024". No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. Furthermore, the City has an aspirational goal of 15% of the total contract amount to be performed by MWBE businesses in contracts awarded by the City for: (i) construction and building projects of $300,000 or more; and (ii) construction and building projects of $100,000 or more that have any state funding (Note this project has no state or federal funding). The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, the Owner may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to Award the contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Each Bidder must show evidence that it is licensed under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes, and the City reserves the right to request additional bidder qualifications as needed. To further this policy, the City has an aspirational goal of 15% participation by certified minority and women-owned businesses in City construction and repair contracts for building projects with a cost of $300,000 or more or building projects with a cost of $100,000 or more with state funding
