The Hancock County Commissioners are seeking bids to repair/grind and otherwise prepare and resurface 4 parking lots and drive ways over the course of the next 2 years, 2024 & 2025.The work on the up hill side of the Courthouse complex is to be done first followed by the areas on the downhill side the following year. the Courthouse is located at 50 State Street, Ellsworth Maine 04605. The County of Hancock Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Proposals and to Accept the Bid Deemed to Be In the Best Interests of the County. Scope: Reclaim and repave the existing asphalt surfaces throughout the Courthouse campus a minimum of 1 1/2 inches should be removed where possible. Work shall be done in two stages, the first, all areas on the uphill side of the courthouse to include the DA parking lot and entrances, the court parking lot and the driveway and parking lot serving the Hancock County Jail. Phase 2 will be all of the areas on the downhill side of the Courthouse, which are, the Sheriff's driveway and exit, and all associated parking areas. New Work: There is a small section of ground that lies on the edge of the parking garage of approximately 12 x 50 that the commission would like to be paved over. This area is located where the garage paving ends, out to a suitable distance beyond the pillars, out to the edge of the jail structure. The Work shall be done over two years if necessary , Phase 1 in 2024 and Phase2 in 2025, There is construction that may prevent the lower lot from being done until 2025. The Work: All work shall be done in accordance with local and State rules and laws. All work shall be done in a professional and efficient manner. Hancock county will provide accommodations as needed and available. All work will be done with a high degree of workmanship and quality. All work will require frequent interaction with county officials. All work, once begun, will be completed in a timely manner. All bidders must make a site visit to accurately assess the project.
