The Key West Housing Authority (the KWHA) is a municipal agency created under F.S. 421. The KWHA owns and manages 590 public housing units, 535 deed-restricted affordable housing units, and 46 licensed assisted living units and administers 287 housing choice vouchers. The KWHA's mission is to provide safe, secure, and quality affordable housing solutions to citizens of the community in a manner that promotes the self-sufficiency of low-income families and meets the needs of moderate-income families in the local workforce.
