Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified contractors to provide housing rehabilitation services at the following location: 841 Filmore Lane in Orange Park, FL 32073 Question Submission Deadline:July 22, 2024, 4:30pm Question Response Deadline:July 24, 2024, 4:30pm Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified contractors to provide housing rehabilitation services at the following location: 841 Filmore Lane Orange Park, FL 32073 The maximum amount that can be spent on the residence is $8,500 per the grant. If any additional services are requested from the homeowner, the Contractor will be required to notify the County Project Manager or designee. No additional services shall be performed until the contractor receives written authorization from Clay County. Clay County Building Department has performed an inspection on the residence and provided the Community Services Department with a list of recommended repairs. All recommended repairs are included in the Pricing Proposal section of this Request for Quotes. Below is the list of recommended repairs. A. HVAC 1. Tune up and deep clean coils and condenser. B. Carpentry 1. Repair or Replace kitchen sink base as needed. 2. Add two (2) grab bars in each bathtub/shower C. Electrical 1. Upgrade smoke alarms to current code in all five (5) bedrooms and install a combo smoke/CO within ten (10) feet outside of bedroom doors. A minimum of communicating/lined ten (10) year batteries to be installed. 2. Add a GFCI outlet protection in bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, and exterior outlets. 3. Diagnose and repair outlets not working in the living room. 4. Repair two (2) ceiling fan wall switches and covers. 5. Repair one (1) ceiling fan light pull chain. 6. Evaluate and repair ceiling fan mounting in bedroom. D. Plumbing 1. Remove and replace under kitchen sink traps/waste arms, drains, angle stops, and supply lines due to leaks. Also evaluate baskets for leaks. 1. Electrical and Building Permits Required - The contractor is responsible for submitting this owner prepared work write up to the Town of Orange Park Building Department and applying for, paying, and receiving a building permit prior to starting any work. 2. Debris Removal - The contractor shall clean construction debris from the dwelling and site to a dumpster or legal landfill at least once each week, and leave the property in broom clean condition. In occupied dwellings, debris shall be removed from living quarters daily.
