Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors to provide residential roof replacement at the following location: 169 Ursa Street Orange Park, FL 32073 The residence has 1,432 square feet under the roof. If any additional services are requested from the homeowner, the Contractor will be required to notify the County Project Manager or designee. No additional services shall be performed until the contractor receives written authorization from Clay County. Substantial Completion shall be obtained within forty-five (45) days from Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the Contract. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) generally apply to contractors and subcontractors performing on federal and federally assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for construction, alteration, or repair (including painting and decorating). Laborers and mechanics performing on the site of the work of DBRA-covered contracts are entitled to receive prevailing wage rates for such work. If the Contractor fails to maintain acceptable product quality or to perform adequately in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications established in this Request for Bids, the County reserves the right to cancel the contract upon thirty (30) days written notice to the Contractor.
