The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the contract. The Clay County Board of County Commissioners are requesting quotes from licensed Contractors to rework HVAC for fresh air intake to address humidity and temperature issues. The Scope of Work shall include but is not limited to completing: Removal of Existing Unit: Safely remove the existing Minisplit unit located in the closet of the rear bedroom.
The County will retain the removed existing Minisplit unit, coordinate County Maintenance Staff.
Installation of New 1-Ton Air Handling Unit (AHU) and Condenser: Provide and install a new 1-ton AHU and Condenser with an integrated heater.
Ensure that the new units are suitable for the specified space and meet energy efficiency standards.
New RA/SA Box: Supply and install a new Return Air (RA) and Supply Air (SA) box.
Ensure the box is appropriately sized and positioned for optimal airflow.
OA Vent Penetration: Penetrate the exterior wall to set up an Outside Air (OA) vent.
Properly seal the penetration to prevent air and moisture leaks.
Interior Piping to Honeywell OA Module: Connect the interior piping to the new Honeywell OA module as specified.
Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free.
Ductwork: Run new 4-inch Return and Supply flexible ducting to key areas.
Install grid-type vent facings that match the existing interior design.
Wiring: Connect new wiring, including line set and control wiring, to the new units.
Run control wiring to a central location and install a new centralized thermostat.
Airflow Adjustments: Adjust the AHU for adequate air movement, ensuring proper distribution and balance.
Adjust the Fresh Air Intake (FAI) for minimum and maximum damper positioning to optimize air exchange.
System Startup: Perform system startup procedures.
Ensure the unit operates at maximum performance, conducting any necessary adjustments.
It is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify the voltage and phases on each of the current unit to furnish replacements with the same specifications. Should the County need temporary cooling units the County reserves the right to negotiate the fee with the Awarded Contractor.
