This hazard tree work involves cutting down one large (estimated 5' in diameter) Eucalyptus robusta tree with branches extending over a house, one large dead tree with branches over a power line, and two medium living trees in close proximity to the dead tree over the power line. The trees are located at the entrance to Kalopa State Park on the left side. All material can be left on site but must be removed from the hiking trail in the area of the trees. There is also a water line under the power lines on private property. No dead hanging branches (caused by the arborist work) can be left after the work is completed. All stumps are to be poisoned after the tree is cut. Coordination for when the cutting will occur will be made with the homeowner as the houses in close proximity are occupied and power should be cut off when taking down the trees. Job Location Kalopa State Park, Hawaii Island Requirements: a) Vendor is required to: 1. Provide proof of C27B (tree trimming contractor's license). 2. Provide proof of Arborist Certificate. 3. Provide contact information of certified arborist on staff or one that is hired to conduct job assessment. b) Vendor to provide logistical support for traffic control to ensure public and vendor safety while conducting work. Selected company must have an appropriate level of liability insurance. Proof of Commercial Liability Insurance listing the State of Hawaii as additional insured. Coverage amounts of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. DLNR/Division of Forestry and Wildlife Hawaii District requests quotation for services as described in Attachments. Vendors must be HCE compliant to qualify for selection. Purchase is based on availability of funds or other internal factors.
