The City of Whitehorse ("City") is inviting Bids from qualified vendors, referred to as "Bidder" with the experience to install eighteen (18) electric vehicle (EV) charging stations (the Work) at various City of Whitehorse locations. The City expects the EV charging stations to be complete and ready for use by September 30, 2024. The intent of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to obtain the best price for this project ("Project"), based on the pricing set out in T-1 Schedule of Quantities and Prices. The City is planning to install the EV charging stations at the following locations. a. Canada Games Centre: 200 Hamilton Blvd, Whitehorse YT b. Whitehorse Operations Building: 197 Range Rd, Whitehorse YT c. Parks Building: 139 Tlingit St, Whitehorse YT d. Two Mile Booster Station: 102 Industrial Rd, Whitehorse YT e. Public Safety Building: 305 Range Rd, Whitehorse YT f. Building Maintenance Shop: 305 Range Rd, Whitehorse YT The locations of these charging stations, as well as the extents required to upgrade existing services to accommodate the additional load, are outlined in Section 4.1, Appendix D -Electrical Drawings, and Appendix E- Technical Specifications. The City had ordered the level 2 chargers from Flo. Installation instructions from the supplier, Flo, for the EV charging stations are provided in Appendix F - Core+ EV Charging Station Installation Guide and Appendix G - Core+ Max EV Charging Station Installation Guide. The City had initiated electrical service upgrade with ATCO Electric Yukon for the Building maintenance shop. This will ensure there will be sufficient electrical capacity available at this location for adding the electrical load of EV charging stations.
