Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors to provide residential roof replacement at the following location 202 Foxridge Avenue Orange Park, FL 32073. Question Submission Deadline: July 22, 2024, 4:30pm Question Response Deadline: July 24, 2024, 4:30pm Substantial Completion shall be obtained within forty-five (45) days from Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the Contract. Scope of Work A. Sitework 1. During construction the Contractor shall remove debris as it is generated. Avoid accumulating debris. On completion, all excess building material shall be removed from the site. Contractor shall rake the site clean of construction debris. B. Carpentry 1. Remove roof coverings down to the sheathing. 2. Replace rotten, warped, or damaged sheathing, rafters, soffit or fascia to match existing.3. Re-nail all sheathing as required per Code. 4. Replace missing or damaged soffit vents. 5. Sheathing shall match existing on exposed eaves. 6. New fascia shall be pressure treated. 7. Install 6" aluminum drip edge over 1x2 strips around the entire perimeter of the house. 8. Replace vents and valley flashings with new. 9. Use plumbing boots and covers with hardware cloth cages to protect from chewing damage. C. Roofing Type 1. Apply thirty (30) year or better fiberglass Class A architectural shingles over synthetic moisture barrier or other manufactured products over gable area. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. 2. The homeowner shall select the color. 3. Prime and paint new soffit and/or fascia to blend with existing colors Modified Bitumen 1. On flat portion(s) of the roof installed modified bitumen roofing system for the use in FBC Non HVHZ jurisdictions. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. 2.
