The link will be posted on our website at online The awarding of the proposal will take place at the WISD public school board meeting. The Weslaco ISD School Board reserves the right to accept, reject any and/or all proposals, waive minor technicalities, or to award the proposal to the most responsible offeror which best serves the interest of, and provides the best value to, the District. BID BOND - A bid bond or a cashier's check (copy only) must be included as an attachment with your Proposal response. Failure to attach a copy may result in the disqualification of your proposal. The bid bond or cashier's check must be in the amount of 5% of the total cost of this project. If presenting a cashier's check, it must be made payable to Weslaco Independent School District. The original Bid Bond or Cashier's Check must be mailed to us not later than three (3) days after the proposal due date. Mail to: Weslaco ISD - Business Office 312 W. 5th Street Weslaco, Texas 78599 Attention: Baldemar Garcia, Purchasing Director Question Deadline 07/17/2024 at 12:00 PM CT The deadline to submit any questions regarding this project Submit your questions through ION Wave or email them to bids@wisd.us The work covered by the contract documents consists of furnishing all labor, materials, services and equipment required in conjunction with or properly incidental to the installation of the synthetic turf at Panther's Baseball and Softball Fields. Construction activities shall include the following: 1. Demolition and Removal 2. Erosion Control 3. Grading 4. Concrete Paving and Construction 5. Storm Drainage 6. Lighting / Electrical Service 7. Synthetic Turf 8. Standing Seam Metal Shade Coverings (Ph. II) 9. Fencing (Chain Link and Tubular Steel) 10. Backstop Netting (Ph. II) 11. Site Accessories 12. Outfield Fencing (Ph. II) The existing grass surface is being replaced with a modern synthetic turf system. This new turf is designed to be porous, allowing surface runoff to be captured and redirected into the surrounding drainage infrastructure. Additionally, logo graphics shall be embedded within the turf to ascetically enhance certain areas of the field. As part of this upgrade, all fencing around the perimeter of the ball fields will be removed to accommodate the turf systems anchored curb. The 1st and 3rd Baseline sides shall be lined with new vinyl chain-link fencing. Minor layout adjustments will also take place around the bullpens and dugouts to enhance the overall playing experience. The Project Start Date: Not later than August 19, 2024 The Project Completion Date: Not later than January 3, 2025
