The Ramona Park Playground Project includes the demolition of existing playground equipment, footings, concrete walkways, concrete base, and rubber safety surfacing, and removal and disposal of existing playground sand. The Silverado Park Playground project includes the demolition of existing playground equipment and footings, concrete walkways, sand removal, rubber surfacing and concrete base removal. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Ramona Park The Ramona Park Playground Project includes the demolition of existing playground equipment, footings, concrete walkways, concrete base, and rubber safety surfacing, and removal and disposal of existing playground sand. The work also requires installation of City-furnished playground equipment and footings, shade structures and footings, site furnishings and new area lighting. Other improvements include the relocation of existing area light, site grading, earthwork, concrete sidewalks and curbs, fog pump system, landscape and irrigation. These improvements will require coordination with the Los Angeles County Sanitation District for work over their existing easement. Silverado Park The Silverado Park Playground project includes the demolition of existing playground equipment and footings, concrete walkways, sand removal, rubber surfacing and concrete base removal. The work also requires relocation of existing area light pole, site grading and earthwork. The project includes installation of City-purchased playground equipment, City-purchased shade structures, footings, improved concrete walks ways and curbs, site furnishings, landscape and irrigation. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: The Contractor shall possess a valid California Class A, General Engineering Contractor license at the time of contract award. The City may deem any Bidder who fails to possess the required license to be non-responsive. BID SECURITY: Bidders must scan and upload with their bid documents, a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Long Beach, drawn on a solvent bank in the United States of America, or a satisfactory bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the bid.
