Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility in Urbana, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
The Project work includes replacement of HVAC systems serving the Burrill Hall north 5th floor animal quarters. The work consists of replacement of existing air handling units AHU-2A and AHU-3A in the north penthouse, exhaust fans located on east and west roofs adjacent to the penthouse, all associated ductwork, reheat coils, air inlets & outlets, etc. New systems include custom air handling unit, steam-to-water heat exchanger with associated pumps and specialties for preheat, steam-to-steam humidifier with RO pretreatment. Work includes BAS upgrade. Work includes replacement of 5th floor ceilings and light fixtures to accommodate HVAC work. Work includes asbestos abatement. Work includes a new roof opening in the penthouse roof intended for access to get equipment in and out of the penthouse. This Project is located at: Burill Hall. 407 S Goodwin Ave. 5th floor - north, and penthouse and roof The construction cost estimate for this project is $2.7M - $2.85M *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Each Single Prime Bidder shall identify the total sum of their base bid and each alternate if any, as well as the breakdown of this bid by each bid / alternate(s) if any, for Work the Single Prime Bidder will perform as well as the Work performed by Protected Subcontractors for all of the following trades: (1) plumbing, (2) heating, piping, refrigeration and automatic temperature control systems, including the testing and balancing of those systems; (3) ventilating and distribution systems for conditioned air, including the testing and balancing of those systems; (4) electric wiring; and (5) general contract work . The breakdown of the Single Prime and Protected Subcontractor base bids and each alternate(s) if any, should add up to the Single Prime total base bid and each alternate totals. This project includes a Project Labor Agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsible/responsive bidder and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council.
