A timeline for construction has not yet been established. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* The Town of Groton Office of Planning and Development Services (OPDS) seeks the services of a consulting firm or team of consultants to implement the "Learning 'Lots' about Permeable Pavers to Improve Water Quality Phase 1" project. This project's goal is to integrate the use of permeable pavement into town operations. For the purposes of this document and the larger project, "permeable pavement" refers to pervious asphalt and concrete, porous pavers, interlocking pavers, and other similar techniques and products that allow water to infiltrate. Qualified firms should have a solid track record of planning and designing permeable pavement projects. The preferred consultant will be one that has extensive experience collaborating with municipal governments, leading all stages of permeable pavement projects (from concept through implementation and maintenance), and performing outreach and education. Any inquiries for this bid shall be directed via email to Karl Klein, Purchasing Agent, at kklein@groton-ct.gov by 12:00 P.M. on July 31, 2024. Pricing shall not be discussed with any individual in the Town other than the Purchasing Agent. Once a bid date has been established only questions relevant to the technical aspects of the bid or how to properly complete the bid form may be addressed. Any vendor contacting any individual other than those named in this section may have their bid rejected by the Purchasing Agent. If addendums clarifying the bid or providing additional information to bidders are necessary the Purchasing Agent of the Town can, at his/her option, extend the date of the bid opening. It is assumed that each vendor submitting a bid will have made himself/herself familiar with the requirements of the specifications and requested an on-site review if necessary so that his/her bid is all inclusive as per the intent of the specifications.
