Renovation of a municipal facility in Groton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project consists of the removal and replacement of exterior windows with wood aluminum clad windows for the Groton Human Services building located at 2 Fort Hill Road, Groton, CT. The general scope includes demolition of existing triple windows and single double-hung windows, and installation of new aluminum clad window systems. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the form of bid bond or certified check subjectto the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. BIDDER must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written Notice to Proceed from the OWNER and to fully complete the project within 180 consecutive calendar days thereafter. Bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $200.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the GENERAL CONDITIONS. Question Deadline 08/15/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Owner. The Owner will conduct a pre-construction meeting with the selected Contractor. The purpose of the meeting will be to answer any questions the Contractor may have about scheduling, the scope of work, the methods of work to be applied, and/or other technical or contractual issues. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
