The planters contain Louisiana native trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers that will provide for pollinators and local wildlife, while retaining the soil, providing shade and seasonal variety and interest to the site. The park has a variety of pavement and surface types including concrete, permeable pavers, artificial turf, decomposed granite, small boardwalk and mulch.
