The successful Bidder(s) will supply new water meters and water meter registers to the Installation Contractor selected by the City. The estimated quantities and types of meters and retrofit registers the Bidder(s) must supply through the contract(s) that result from this Invitation to Bid are outlined in Attachment B - Bid Pricing Form and Attachment E - Technical Specifications. There are two potential installation scenarios which the City is considering that will affect when the City begins to place orders for products supplied out of this ITB. The City has determined that having a six (6) month supply of products on hand will be necessary to support the installation work. A six (6) month supply of products includes approximately 16,000 new meters and 7,000 new meter registers, however, actual quantities and product mix at the time of each order will vary. Reliable delivery and supply in accordance with the requirements of this ITB are crucial to the success and efficient implementation of the City's AMIP. In Scenario 1, new meter installation and meter register replacement is scheduled to begin in April 2025 and will run for four (4) years. It is estimated that the first six (6) month supply of products will be made immediately after contract execution, with delivery required by March 2025. In Scenario 2, new meter installation and meter register replacement is scheduled to begin in April 2026 and will run for four (4) years. The first order of products would be made in the last quarter of calendar year 2025, with delivery required by March 2026.
