Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in La Grange Highlands, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a 4,181-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
General project description: Removal of existing wood playground mulch surface to depth, installation and compaction of gravel base preparation, and installation of a poured in place rubberized playground surface in two locations, details as follows Area 1 - 2,220 Sq. Ft. Removal and disposal of 2,220 s.f, ~1 ft' depth, existing woodchip infill. Removal and disposal of existing plastic edging. Provide and install 85 tons of CA7 compacted gravel as base for poured-in-place (PIP) surfacing material as specified. Install 3-1/2" thick surface with top surface in 50% color / 50% black speckled mix, including standard aromatic. Color to be discussed with District upon award. 3 1/2 " thick poured-in-place system to meet 8' critical fall height. Ensure thickness meets industry standards for ASTM testing of 1000 HIC/ 200 Gmax Surfacing must be IPEMA certified Playground Resurfacing All Questions Should Be Directed to Parin Schmidt at Pschmidt@district106.net. The Board of Education Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Bids.
