Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in La Grange Highlands, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a 32,500-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Pleasantview Fire Protection District will receive sealed bids for repaving of the Parking lots at Fire Station #1 1970 W Plainfield Rd. LaGrange Highlands IL 60525 and Fire Station #2 7675 S Wolf rd. Burr Ridge Il 60525. PROJECT AND LOCATION The project associated with this RFP is located at two separate locations: o Station #151 - 1970 W Plainfield Road La Grange Highlands, Illinois 60525 o Station #152 - 7675 Wolf Road Burr Ridge, Illinois 60525 PROJECT OBJECTIVE The objective of this project is to renew aging asphalt through milling and overlay. The work may also include patching, including full-depth repairs where necessary. PROJECT SCOPE AND SPECIFICATIONS The work shall consist of milling and overlaying existing asphalt pavement at designated Pleasantview Fire Protection District stations to renew and extend the service life of the surfaces. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable industry standards, comply with all relevant codes and regulations, and be designed to accommodate required vehicle load and weight requirements. BIDDERS SHOULD NOTE THAT ANY AND ALL WORK INTENDED TO BE SUBCONTRACTED AS PART OF THE BID SUBMITTAL MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY BACKGROUND MATERIALS AND REFERENCES FOR PROPOSED SUBCONTRACTOR(S) - NO EXCEPTIONS. Submitted bids should be itemized to reflect the following: Bid #1 - Station #151* Cost to Mill & Overlay (At least a Depth of 2") and Patch where needed and stripe consistent with existing Layout for Station 151. Approximately 14,500 ft2.Bid #2 - Station #152* Cost to Mill, Overlay and Patch where needed all areas where asphalt currently exists. Estimated milling and overlay approximately 18,000 ft2 at depth of 2" and 1,500 ft2 to a depth of 4" is required based on current state of asphalt at this location. In addition, stripe additional single parking bays along the far east side of the rear parking lot at a 45-degree angle, include two large direction of travel arrows. Optional Bid #1 - Station #152 - Concrete Flatwork Saw cut, Excavate, remove existing materials in areas "A" & "B." Contractor shall install concrete designed to support a minimum HS-25 or 40-ton live load in accordance with AASHTO H-20/H-25 standards in these areas. o Area A: Square section of crushed rock approximately 35 ft2, located within the paved drive area. o Area B: Concrete deterioration adjacent to overhead doors, specifically at the joint between interior bay floor concrete and exterior apron concrete. Fill and compact with 4" of CA-6 Excavated material will be removed from job site and trucked to a legal dump site. Existing base will be re-graded and compacted to ensure a solid base for replacement of concrete. Form and pour with 4500 PSI concrete over the given areas. Dowel into adjacent concrete with #3 rebar, expansion and control joints will be furnished as needed. The surface will be broom finish. Barricaded areas to allow proper cure time for concrete.
