Renovation of a water / sewer project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

As of September 26, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Centrate/Filtrate Piping Valve Installation at Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility. Description: Work covered by these Contract Documents in general entails the installation of one 24-inch and one 12-inch diameter butterfly valve on ductile iron centrate/filtrate piping upstream of 2 flow control gates G-5-71-1 and G-5-71-2, respectively, in the tunnel near Building 266 located at the Owner's Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility ("JIWRF") at 700 E Jones St., Milwaukee, WI 53207. The bidder that is selected for this work ("Contractor") will be required to drain approximately 1,000 feet of 24-inch diameter centrate/filtrate piping, prior to valve installation. The draining method shall be approved by the Owner's Engineer but may possibly include the use of a hot tap(s). All work is to be completed during the 2024 Annual Dewatering and Drying (D&D) Facility Shutdown at JIWRF tentatively scheduled for October 7th through October 12th, 2024.
