Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Midgic, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

Direct questions on tendering process to: Hilcon Limited 420 York Street Fredericton, NB E3B 3P7 Engineer-Architect: Adam Young (506) 454-4455 adam.young@hilcon.ca, constructionbidssoumissions@snb.ca The work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: .1 Supply, installation and removal of safety barricades and trail closed/warning signs as required (See Appendix "B" - Sign Layout for Trail Closure). .2 All construction activies to follow the conditions set in the Watercourse and Wetland Alteration (WAWA) permit (See Appendix "C" - "WAWA" Permit (Pending)). .3 Clearing and grubbing. .4 Excavation, placement and disposal of materials as necessary for construction and installation and/or removal of structures. .5 Design, supply and installation of precast reinforced concrete pipe and tension bars. .6 Supply and installation of timber pedestrian fence. .7 Supply and placement of backfill for structures. .8 Removal and disposal of the existing concrete box structure. .9 Supply and placement of borrow material from outside the worksite. .10 Supply and installation of aggregate base. .11 Supply, installation, maintenance and removal of sediment control fence. .12 Supply and placement of mixed random riprap. .13 Supply and placement of gravel for fish habitiat. .14 Supply and placement of topsoil, hydroseeding, and mulching. .15 Design, supply, construction, operation, maintenance and removal of temporary water control works. .16 Rescuing and salvaging of fish, including mussels if present, from the watercourse and temporary stream diversions whenever there is potential for fish to be isolated, injured or killed during construction activies or compromised habitat conditions. The person carrying out the fish rescue shall have a license from DFO under Sections 52 of the Fisheries (General) Regulations. .17 Grading of trail and shaping of embankments. .18 Disposal of surplus and waste materials.
