Spartanburg County is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for Construction Services for County/City Utility Relocation. Approximate award date 08/27/2024 05:00 PM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Question Deadline 08/06/2024 Every effort has been made to ensure that all information needed is included in this document. If the Proposer finds that they cannot complete its response without additional information, it may submit written questions or requests for clarification to the County Purchasing Department at the addresses listed on page 1 or submit questions by email to Gina Bennett, Procurement Manager, at gpbennett@spartanburgcounty.org. Written questions shall be submitted at least five (5) calendar days prior to Proposal's submission date The project scope will include the following (quantities are approximate): Sanitary Sewer: 12" DIP - 1570 L.F. (approx.) 8" DIP - 315 L.F. (approx.) Storm Drainage: 15" RCP - 95 L.F. (approx.) 24" RCP - 115 L.F. (approx.) 30" RCP - 110 L.F. (approx.) 36" RCP - 1005 L.F. (approx.) 42" RCP - 635 L.F. (approx.) Project will also consist of the following: o Traffic Control: Barriers, lane closures, flaggers, etc. SCDOT restrictions will apply to the S.Church St. (HWY.221) work and will include but not be limited to weekdays, night work only (6:00 pm - 7:00 am). Final requirements will be determined upon final SCDOT approval and will be provided as soon as available. o Backfilling: Covering trenches and holes after work is completed. o Surface Restoration: Repairing roads, sidewalks, landscaping, and other surface areas affected by the work. o Connections: Integrating new utilities with existing systems. o Testing: As required by Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District (SSSD) o Abandoned Pipe: Existing pipe within public ROW will be removed. Existing pipe traversing City and private property will be left in place and filled with flowable fill as determined on design drawings.
