Description

Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Vernon, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Tavistock Pump Station, located at 8211 Tronson Road, Vernon, BC, is part of the North Okanagan water distribution system, and is operated by the City of Vernon. It has an 400A, 347/600V utility service, and three 75Hp pumps with Benshaw soft starters. The RDNO plans to install a 250kW Cummins Diesel Generator at the Tavistock Pump Station site, to provide standby back up power at the Tavistock Pump Station. The generator was removed from a different site within the water system, and is currently stored at the McMechan Pump Station (901 39th Avenue, Vernon). The addition of a new 400A Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is also required, as well as some control panel additions to monitor the new ATS and generator.
