Thornton Township High School District 205 is accepting bids from contractors for work at the Track and Football Field at the Thornwood High School campus in South Holland, Thornridge High School campus in Dolton, and Thornton Township High School campus in Harvey, Illinois. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: demolition, earthwork, concrete work, asphalt pavement and base, fencing, synthetic turf field subgrade and base, utility improvements, and landscape restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the Contract Sum. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates for all work performed under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq). The Contractor shall maintain certified time sheets and submit proof of compliance with all applicable reporting to the online database (820 ILCS 130/5.1) and required payment of applicable wages to the District with all pay applications. With proof of compliance, Contractor shall sign statement attesting that: certified payroll has been submitted to the Illinois Department of Labor, such payroll is true and accurate, and that the hourly rate paid to each worker is at least equal to the prevailing wage for such work. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the District.
