Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a conference / convention center in Hurst, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,028-square-foot conference / convention center; for the demolition of a conference / convention center; for the renovation of a conference / convention center; and for site work for a conference / convention center.

As of August 22, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Hurst Conference Center Addition Question Deadline 08/06/2024 Submit all questions about the Drawings and Specifications to the Architect in writing. Replies will be issued to all bidders of record as addenda to the Drawings and Specifications and will become part of the Contract. The Architect and Owner will not be responsible for oral clarification. Questions received less than 48 hours before the Bid Opening cannot be answered. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashiers check or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the City of Hurst, The right is reserved by the Mayor and the City Council as the interest of the City may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in bids received. PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING: A pre-construction meeting will be held at the site prior to beginning of the Work at a time designated by the Architect, but not later than 15 days after date of Notice to Proceed. Representatives of the Architect, Owner, General Contractor, including designated superintendent, and all major subcontractors shall be present. The following shall serve as a minimum agenda: A. Distribute and discuss the list of major subcontractors B. Tentative construction schedule; critical work sequencing C. Relation and coordination of prime contractors D. Designation of responsible personnel E. Processing of field decisions and Change Orders F. Submittal of Shop Drawings G. Project Data and Samples H. Procedures for maintaining Record Documents I. Safety and First-aid Procedures. 1.02 BI-EEKLY PROGRESS MEETINGS: Regular bi-weekly progress meetings will be held at the site on a date mutually agreed upon by the Architect and the Contractor. Representatives of the Architect, General Contractor, and necessary subcontractors shall be present. Minimum agenda would be as follows: A. Review weekly work progress. B. Review Contractor's Request for Information (RFI's). C. Review field observations. D. Discuss problems and decisions. E. Discuss proposed changes for effect on construction schedule and effect on completion date.
