Excavator for Ditching & Ledge Removal Project Description: The Town of Weathersfield is requesting sealed quotes for excavation work and ledge removal on Goulden Ridge Road for approximately 2500' of ditch line. Recommended Equipment: Excavator with a ditching bucket, digging bucket with twist wrist, hammer and thumb attachment. Minimum Equipment Requirements 24-ton excavator .75 cy digging bucket 1.24 yard clean up bucket Thumb Twist wrist or rotator Minimum impact energy class 3,250 FT/Lbs. hammer Note: Separate machine with hammer for ledge removal acceptable Period of Performance: All work must be completed by September 30, 2024. Scope of Work: Reestablish approximately 2,500 feet of ditch line including stone lining, sediment pools, check dams, and stone lined cutouts as required by Act 64 Standards, State of Vermont and local best management practices. Replacement/ installation of culverts Removal of ledge Tree/ Stump removal Notes: All labor, materials, culverts, and equipment other than the excavator is to be provided by the Town of Weathersfield. Award of Projects: The Bid, if awarded, will be awarded based on criteria of least total project cost and/or, best qualified to perform the work in a time frame advantageous to the Town, ability in meeting the terms of the contract, ability to provide a quality product, and past performance of the bidder under previous contracts with Town, the State and elsewhere. Prior to awarding the project(s), the total allotted funds for the project shall be used to determine the total project award. Project must be completed by October 15, 2024.
