Roof Replacement Project- Montgomery County Annex Facility It is the intent of this bid proposal to solicit bids for the replacement of two (2) areas of EPDM Roofing. Scope: Work performed under this bid proposal must include all materials, labor, machinery and equipment required to complete the project. Qualifications of Bidder: When requested by the Commissioner of Public Works, the bidder must present evidence of experience, ability and financial standing. Special Conditions: 1. Asbestos material is present on this project- Industrial Code Rule 56 must be followed and all proper documentation turned over to Montgomery County. Analysis of asbestos material is attached to this RFP. 2. Proposals are to be submitted separately for each roof system 3. Project to be completed no later than October 18 2024 Davis Bacon Act: The bidder is informed that they are required to follow the Federal Davis Bacon Act, which requires bidders to pay prevailing wage rate and fringe benefits established by the New York State Department of Labor at the time the work is completed. The bidder will be required to submit a certified payroll indicating prevailing wage has been paid before any payment will be released by Montgomery County. The bidder will be required to submit General Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance with limits not less than $1,000,000.00. All insurance certificates submitted must name Montgomery County, 20 Park Street, Fonda, NY 12068 as the additional insured. Work to be performed: Lower Roof approximately 800 sf - Roof 7 Remove & dispose of stone ballast EPDM roof system down to metal deck per code rule 56 for Asbestos Containing Material Remove two abandoned gravity vents & abandoned HVAC Curb Install 18 ga flat stock over deck Install 725 vapor barrier over entire deck Install new z-100 cast iron roof drains Two layers of 2.6" ISO & 1/2 " secureshield recovery board over deck Reinforced perimeter strips Cover coping stone & masonry with plywood Adhere new .60 EPDM over new ISO & Plywood Install new metal drip edge flashed with 6" cover strip Provide to Montgomery County 20 year warranty on roof system Contractor to clean site entirely Work to be performed: Upper Barrel Roof approximately 4000 sf- Roof 5 (no plan attached) Remove & dispose of stone ballast EPDM roof system down to wood deck per code rule 56 for Asbestos Containing Material Remove & dispose of copings Install wood blocking to top of walls and plywood to face of masonry Inspect & repair any rotten wood deck (provide a per sf cost for replacement) Install 725 vapor barrier over entire deck Install new z-100 cast iron roof drains Two layers of 2.6" ISO over structural sloped deck Set in low rise foam adhesive 1/2 " secureshield recovery board Reinforced perimeter strips at walls Adhere new .60 EPDM over new ISO & Plywood Install new metal drip edge flashed with 6" cover strip Provide to Montgomery County 20 year warranty on roof system Contractor to clean site entirely
