Renovation of a municipal facility in Fonda, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work includes, but is not limited to: Renovations including miscellaneous interior removals, office fit-out, restroom fixture replacement, window and door replacement, roof replacement and exterior painting. 2. Contract 02 - Plumbing Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. All requests for interpretations must be submitted in writing to the ARCHITECT, at the above address, or via email to n.lobosco@ctmale.com , for final clarifications by no later than 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Requests received after this date will not receive a response. Addendum will be issued to all Bidders who are known by the issuing office to have received a complete set of Bidding Documents by no later than Friday, December 27, 2024, though addenda may be issued at any time prior to receipt of Bids as noted in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Montgomery County reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. The Work of the Project is Defined by the Contract Documents and includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Alterations to portions of the existing building, approximately 4,500 gross square feet in area, at the former Montgomery County DPW facility including: a. Removal and replacement of the covering of existing materials, elements, equipment or fixtures using new materials, elements, equipment or fixtures that serve a similar purpose. b. Reconfiguration of the space. c. Interior and exterior painting. d. Addition/elimination of interior windows and doors and replacement of existing exterior windows and doors. e. Reconfiguration, extension and partial replacement of existing plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems. f. Installation of additional equipment as described in the Contract Documents. g. Replacement of existing fire alarm system. h. Replacement of existing roof membrane. i. Alternates as outlined in other sections 2. Site Improvements 3. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are complementary, and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all; performance by the Contractor shall be required only to the extent consistent with the Contract Documents and reasonably inferable from them as being necessary to produce the indicated results. 4. The Contractor shall be totally responsible for periodic cleaning up of the building and premises daily. In addition to general broom cleaning, the Contractor shall remove all refuse, waste materials and debris of any kind regardless as to who may have left same. All such refuse shall be removed from the property of the Owner and disposed of in a legal manner to the end that at all times the building and premises shall present a neat, orderly and workmanlike appearance. The definition of "periodic" shall mean - "as necessary and/or at the direction of the Owner or his representative." 5. Contingency Allowances are identified under Section 012100 - Allowances. 6. Alternates are identified under Section 012300 - Alternates PLUMBING CONTRACT A. In addition to Division 22, Work of the Plumbing Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Selective demolition for plumbing, including cutting and patching of cast-in-place concrete slab. 2. Plumbing fixtures. 3. Domestic water distribution. 4. Plumbing connections to equipment furnished by the General Construction Contract, HVAC Contract, and Electrical Contract. 5. Coordination of special inspection testing. B. Temporary facilities and controls in the Plumbing Contract include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Piped sewerage and drainage. 2. Piped gas service. 3. Piped water service. 4. Piped temporary toilet fixtures, wash facilities, and drinking water facilities. 5. Plumbing connections to existing systems and temporary facilities and controls furnished by the General Construction Contract, HVAC Contract, and Electrical Contract. 6. Snow removal from Contractor's own work area, equipment and access to its equipment and trailers, not otherwise provided as a responsibility of the General Construction Contract. 7. Supplemental temporary lighting, as may be required to complete the Work beyond the temporary lighting levels provided by the Electrical Contract.
