Net classification required for this project is 467 Ea Completion Date: 5/16/2026 Control Sec Job No Federal No M 13074 221043A N/A MI DOT - 2408 033 - Reconstruction of Rest Area on-site Septic Lagoons on I-69 This work consists of dewatering, pumping, securing disposal permits, removal of all sludge from the two wastewater stabilization lagoon cells, dewatering of solid waste as necessary, transportation of the dewatered solid waste to a pre-approved Class II landfill and any associated testing required, disposal of surplus excavated material, and final cleanup as specified herein and as shown on the plans. This work also includes removal of all vegetation, piping and all other miscellaneous removal required to prepare the lagoon cells for lining and rehabilitation. This work consists of the rehabilitation of the two existing lagoon cells including any necessary repairs to, or grading of the existing clay liner, furnishing and placing the polypropylene flexible membrane liner (FML), placing and compacting granular material and any necessary repairs to existing earthen berms. Conduct all work in accordance with the standard specifications, all federal, state, and local requirements pertaining to this type of work, and as detailed herein. This work consists of preparing all lawns and slopes on non-freeway projects designated for slope restoration on the plans or as directed by the Engineer and applying topsoil, fertilizer, seed, mulch with mulch anchor, mulch blanket, high velocity mulch blanket, permanent turf reinforcement mat (TRM), bonded fiber matrix (BFM), or modified mulch blanket to those areas. Ensure turf establishment is in accordance with section 816 and 917 of the Standard Specifications for Construction and Standard Plan R-100 Series, except as modified herein or otherwise directed by the Engineer.
