Description of the work: In accordance with M.G.L. c. 149 - Building Construction Contracts, the Town of Freetown, MA is seeking quotations from qualified vendors to repair, refinish and repaint the gym floor at the Freetown Elementary School located at 43 Bullock Road, MA. Project Description: Labor and Materials to repair, refinish and paint the gym floor at the Freetown Elementary School Gym. The Scope of the work includes the following: 1) Apply for Permits, if applicable (fees will be waived) 2) Supply materials for floor repair at new entrance 3) Install wood flooring at the opening of the newly installed door 4) Strip, sand and refinish gym floor with five (5) coats of water-based sports floor finish 5) Paint lines and logo 6) Work must be done in harmony with vendor installing new door. All Bidder's questions are due by no later than 11:00 AM on July 25, 2024. Bidders shall make written request to Deborah L. Pettey, Town Administrator at procurement@freetownma.gov. the Owner reserves the right to reject all quotes based on cost and level of completeness. Rejection of Bids: The Town reserves the right to reject any and all quotes if deemed in the Town's best interest. Basis of Award of Contract Award of this contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and eligible general bidder within thirty days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the quotes. Construction Start Date: The contractor awarded the job will be expected to start as soon as materials can be purchased and coordinated with School Facilities Dept. Completion Date: The completion date for the project shall be no later than August 30, 2024. Contract: The Contractor that is awarded the job will execute a contract document provided by the Town of Freetown, MA; (Draft Contract attached hereto). Payments: Payments shall be made within 30 days after the completion of the work.
