Description of the work: In accordance with M.G.L. c. 149 - Building Construction Contracts, the Town of Freetown, MA is seeking quotations from qualified vendors to install a concrete entrance pad to replace the existing pad at the Freetown Elementary School located at 43 Bullock Road, MA and add additional accessible entrance at the front of the school. Project Description: Labor and Materials to prepare, pour and install a concrete entrance pad including the existing and one additional accessible entrance at the Freetown Elementary School. The existing brick entrance pad will be removed and disposed of by the owner. Existing granite curbs will remain with the exception of an additional accessible entrance needing to be installed by awarded vendor. The Scope of the work includes the following: 1) Apply for Permits (fees will be waived) 2) Prepare area for concrete 3) Pour & finish approximately 3,100 sq ft concrete 4) Cut existing granite curb to create second accessible entrance in front of the school. 5) Secure premises until area is cured and ready to be used 6) Work must be done in harmony with owner who will remove existing entrance pad. Pettey, Town Administrator at procurement@freetownma.gov It is anticipated that the proposed work for this project would start immediately and should be completed no later than August 30, 2024 or such other date that is amendable to Owner and does not interfere with the students attending school. The Town of Freetown reserves the right to accept any quote, in whole or in part, to reject any/or all quotes and to waive minor irregularities and/or informalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the Town.
