Summary:The purpose of this Quick Quote is to solicit unsealed bids from qualified vendors to reseal the exterior gaps and crevices of the entire Roanoke DFS Building. The vendor will use their professional knowledge to determine what material needs to be removed prior to caulking/sealing ALL INQUIRIES FOR INFORMATION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO: Mike Oprysko, CPPB, VCO Procurement Consultant mike.oprysko@dfs.virginia.gov or (804) 588-4316 SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall: a. Ensure all equipment, tools, and materials are on sight and approved by DFS prior to beginning work. b. If awarded vendor will use subcontractors, ensure all Sub-Contractors are approved by DFS and can meet scheduling requirements prior to beginning work. c. Coordinate onsite equipment storage and usage with onsite DFS facilities supervisor. d. Prepare work area's by removing damaged, loose, or inadequate weatherproofing and cleaning to provide adherence of new weatherproofing. e. Work site shall be kept clean and debris or trash disposed of daily and unused materials should be collected. f. Apply new weatherproofing according to current standards and practices, utilizing proper backing and materials of approved colors to match construction and decor. g. All sealants used shall carry at a minimum, a ten-year manufacturer's warranty. h. Seams and joints shall be smoothed and blended into surrounding construction. i. Remove all over application of materials and area cleaned. j. All work shall be visually appealing and resistant to air/water intrusion and vendor shall warranty quality of work for at least one year. k. Work must be performed in stages to allow for uninterrupted traffic flow to critical areas designated by DFS and coordinated with DFS designated point of contact. l. Work must be performed between 7:30am and dusk, so there is proper lighting. Work can be performed on weekdays and weekends. m.
